Eulogy: Stephan S. Grundy (06.28.1967-09.27.2021)
The greatly gifted writer who convinced me that Asatru was a valid religion worth following... The open-handed host who took me in at my first public Heathen gathering... The faithful sworn brother who asked me to bless his wedding... The willing feast-founder who paid for the makings of a proper Yule ritual when he heard that the state paid me one-tenth as much... The honored scholar who persuaded my university that spending a week in Sweden would benefit me academically, and knew just what I needed to see there... And the awe-inspiring godhi who dedicated me to Freyr at Gamla Uppsala, greeting me there as no one else could. Hel has taken them all from me -- one man who played many parts in my earthly life. I mourn him as greatly as the bright gods mourn for Baldr, knowing only that he will be honored wherever he goes. Go forth in peace, my brother! Far heill, Kveldúlfr, bróðir minn!
